How can I asign a keyboard shortcut to a script (in FileMakerPro)?
Ctrl 0 through Ctrl 9 will perform the first 10 scripts visible in your scripts menu.
If you have FileMaker 10 or 11, you can set up an OnLayoutKeystroke script trigger to perform a script. That script can identify both the trigger key and the trigger modifier keys to select which of your keyboard shortcut controlled scripts to perform.
The catch here is that many keyboard shortcuts are already assigned to one action or another so you have to come up with a shortcut that is not being used for something else.
If you have FileMaker advanced there are more options as you can also set up a custom menu to perform your scripts and you can give the menu items keyboard short cuts.
Thats another reason to buy advanced....thanks Phil
