How do I Find records in 1 table based on criteria specified in another table?

      Post

I'm currently using FileMaker Pro 10.0v3 on a Mac running 10.5.8.

I've create 2 tables in my database as represented below and I've created the relationship of

Proposals:Proposal ID to Investigators:Proposal ID in the database and I've got lots of layouts

already created in my Proposals database and scripts set up to find and return various queries.

What I want to do is query (FIND) all of the Investigators for TYPE = X, or for HOURS > Y from Table

Proposals, and then see that subset of Investigators from that table.

I would hate to have to just create a new layout that has data from both my Tables to be able to

do this query?  I've got hundreds of Fields in my Proposals database and want to be

able to search on quite a few of them and then see what investigators are matched with

      those results.

      TABLE: Proposals

      Proposal ID

      Category

      Hours

      Type

      etc etc etc

      TABLE: Investigators

      Proposal ID

      First Name

      Last Name

      Institution

      Address

      State

      country

      Postal Code

      Phone

      etc etc etc
