I think this is accomplished with just a report based on the child table, or the table farthest away from the Parent table, sorted properly, with the sub-summary field (sorted by) based on the parent, and the body part based on the child.
Another way to go would be to set up the Virtual List technique (research here and other FM forum sites) Which would loop thru and create this list.
Execute SQL may work also, but I have no experience with it (I'm sure Phil will be able to provide the proper help).
If your tables are related in one to many relationships like this:
A table or list view layout based on D can include all fields from C, B and A as well as D.
But if your relationships are not so linked, you won't be able to do this.
Thank you both - my tables are linked in that way so modifying the table through the child table worked.
