If [ IsEmpty ( FilterValues ( WindowNames ) ; "Project" ) ]
New window, or Go To Related Records (/with new window option), or Open ( filename) //whatever step you need to open the new window
Select Window ["Project"]
Thank you for your time.
I can't get past the first line of the specify calculation window of the "If".
I type this in- "IsEmpty ( FilterValues ( WindowNames ) ; "Project" )"
And when I try to click the "ok" to go back to the script window it comes back and says- "There are too few parameters in this function".
I tried typing additionals "(" & ")" but it still comes back saying... "There are too few parameters in this function".
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.
My mistake, I have the syntax wrong, and (suprisingly) no one else caught it.
Change: IsEmpty ( FilterValues ( WindowNames ) ; "Project" )
To: IsEmpty ( FIlterValues ( WIndowNames ; "Project ) )
I was going over it and was going to comment this weekend but family distractions got in the way of actually posting the correct syntax.
I still can't get past the first line of the it. I entered it as you said but it comes back saying...."This text constant does not end with a quotation mark."
I think I am below a rookie level. I can't figure it out.
IsEmpty ( FIlterValues ( WIndowNames ; "Project" ) )
How many ways can I mistype a simple expression! :smileysad:
Thank You Everybody!
That worked. I was beginning to think there was no hope for me. I am a little less of a Rookie now.
Some day maybe I will be able to help others as all of you do.
