There should be a Deactivate... command in the Help menu.
So I had thought too, but there isn't. And i didnt activate it by phone either. Would i have to register it to get the de-activate option?
Are you sure it is FileMaker Pro 9?
How do you know it is activated?
When i click on "about Filemkaer Pro" Its gives me my Key, name, and org. And it does say filemaker 9
Is it a box copy of FileMaker Pro? Or was it licensed under a volume license agreement (VLA)?
If it is the latter, there is no activation. But also I would have thought the About screen would say it was volume licensed.
I cannot help any further. There should be a Help menu command. You will have to wait until the moderators from FileMaker Inc. are back at work to get further advice. Sorry.
Well, I got FM 9 onto my new computer, but since i still have that copy that cant be de-activated, it says i've licensed the max amount of computers. Is there a way to call up FM support and tell them to de-activated all computers associated with a certain key? I've looked on their website, but have found nothing. So can that be done? If so, then my problem's solved.
Thank you for your post.
Yes, we can help you with the deactivation. You definitely have a volume license if Deactivate isn't available under the Help menu. If you are in North America, please call our Customer Assistance department at toll-free 800-325-2747. They will look up your License Key (you can get this from About FileMaker Pro -> Info), and determine the next course of action.
