Set up a list view layout that selects an occurrence of your pictures table in "show records from" in Layout Setup...
Put the container field in the body. Put the fields from the related parent record in the header or a leading grand summary.
Select List View.
Tried as you said, but no result.
I get parent record's field at the header but at the body I see all pictures from the Pictures table (not only related to the parent record).
What am I doing wrong?
You haven't done anything wrong in setting up the layout.
The next step is to control what records appear in your found set so that you only see pictures for one specific parent record.
Method 1: Perform a find on this new layout for a specific parent record. You can do this by hand or with a script. Likely, your find would specfiy the value of the parent's primarly key in the chid table's foreign key field.
Method 2: You can perform a script from the parent table's layout that uses Go TO Related Records with the "match current record only" option to both change layouts to this list layout and also pull up just the set of related records all in one script step.
It's also possible to set up the layout to view photos from multiple parent records at the same time, grouped by parent record with data from the parent record set up as a "Subheading" for each group of photos related to that parent record.
I've got the point. Will try.
Thanks a lot/
You can find a working example of this in the INvoices starter solutions that come with Filemaker 11 and 12. The script for printing invoices uses this method.
