      How to Save Unique Calculation Per Record?




           I am creating a invoicing project that will be used to bill insurance companies for optical materials. Each insurance company factors their payment on frames differently. I want to be able to create an invoice line item that will charge the insurance company the amount specific to its criteria.

           A solution would be to have a field in my insurance company's information table that is its frame calculation. Is there any way to create a different calculation field for each record in a table?

               You can define a calculation field with a case function where the Boolean expressions identify the company and the result expressions are the calculations specific to that company. Or you can store the calculation expression for each company in the text field of a related table of insurance companies, then you can use the relationship to reference this text and use the evaluate function to compute a value using that stored calculation expression.
