How to set the "caps Lock Key" when entering a text field

I would like to use conditional formatting to set the "caps lock key" when entering text into a text field.  And then use conditional formatting to reset the "caps lock key" when entering another field.  Setting a field to Upper Case does not provide the same result because "MacGRATH" turns into 'MACGRATH" which is not what I want.  I have not found anyway to send the appropriate code to the keyboard.  Can this be done?

So if the user presses abc, you get ABC and if you hold down the shift key while doing so you get abc?

Only way I can think of for this is to use an On ObjectKeystroke script trigger with a script that uses Get ( TriggerKeystroke ) and Get ( TriggerModifierKeys ) to check for the shift key modifier and set values in the field letter by letter either as upper or lowercase versions of the keystroke as appropriate to get the results that you want.
