If you want to dispaly your calculation data upto 2 decimal digit then you can do following setting in layout mode. In the Inspector just go to Data tab Format section. Select the field, choose "Decimal" format and check "Fixed number of decimals" and give it value 2. In separators give "." and thats it. Now your field or merge field will show the decimal format data with upto 2 decimal. Hope it will work for you.

It does work for a merge field. I use this method all the time. Simply click the text that contains the merge field to select it so that you see the selection handles appear. Then select data formatting from the Inspector's data tab just like you would for any other field.
If you have several number merge fields inside the same text object on your layout, they will all receive the same number formatting when you do this.
