How to start... A beginners question about setup

      Post

So I've been using FMPro for about a year now, but only off and on, and mostly doing fairly basic things.  Recently I've been playing with more advanced features which often leads me to tutorials that various people have put up which sometimes come with demo files.  I've noticed that many of these are setup in nice logical ways... Most of my FMPro files are based on one that someone in my office with very little experience set up and they all just build off of each other.  I've taken it upon myself to start to get together some office standards for our files and I want to start from scratch and do it "right."

Can anyone point me in the direction of some good started tutorials, or basic management theories?

I've come to the conclusion that it's a good idea to have several "back of house" tables and layouts to allow for the front end of the database to work better.  But I feel like I'm always approaching it backwards and not starting with a good foundation.

      Thanks,

      Alan
