Do you have reset scroll bar when exiting record enabled for the portal?
Also what action are you performing, are you simply going to related record, from the portal or something else ?
Nope, haven't got reset selected. Just have script that if you click on portal record field CaseNumber, the layout displays the selected record details in full.
Have just seen your other post on this very topic, so will try that later tonight.
The idea behind my other post didn't seem relevant at first ( Tip : Return to exact portal position after leaving and returning to a layout. )
Where that is useful is if for instance, you clicked a button on a portal to run a script, which freezes the window and goes off to different layout to perform update fields, create records, etc etc then returned to the original page without the user realising what went on behind the scenes.
As my requirement is to stay on the same layout but let the User now edit the selected record your solution is not applicable.
When the User clicks on the reord number in the portal, the following script runs:
Go To Related Record[Show only related records; From Table: "ClaimsTO; Using Layout "Claims"(claims)]
This brings up the selected policy on the left for the User to edit, but returns the portal records to the top of the table.
PS The portal can be scrolled and left at any position manually. So after the required record is displayed on the left the User can scroll back down to the record in teh portal and once visible again click back in the record on the left to edit it. So I know the table should be capable to staying in view once selected - if this all makes sense - but how?
Can't believe nobody has any suggestions on this issue! Are there inherent problems or "features" using GTRR?
