    HTML Tables limitations

      HTML Tables limitations

"HTML Table files" is the only way I can publish my database on the Internet without giving users access to my computer.  I do not mind that this provides only a static view of my data.  However, the conversion to HTML causes some undesirable effects:
       * Text originally in italics style becomes plain text.
       * URLs in text fields do not appear as active links
I am not aware of any feature of FileMaker Pro that would address these issues.  Is there any way to handle this short of manual HTML adjustments after the export, or should I be using different database software to achieve these ends?
I am currently running FileMaker Pro 8.0v3 under Mac OS 10.4.11.

          Thank you for your post.

When exporting to HTML table, only the data is exported; not the formatting.  Therefore, you would need to adjust the HTML after the export.  The same would occur for the URLs.
