      I don't understand why script pauses

      Post

      I created a script to print an estimate. The script goes to a layout not in the script and pauses. When I press continue, it moves to the correct layout, and everything looks great.

      Here is the script.

      Go to Layout [ “Print Estmate with Logo” (Est line items) ]

      Set Variable [ $findestitems; Value:"==" & Estimates::est number ]

      Perform Find [ Specified Find Requests: Find Records; Criteria: Est line items::eli est num: “$findestitems” ] [ Restore ]

      Sort Records [ Specified Sort Order: Estimates::est number; ascending Est line items::eli Printing Sub total; ascending ] [ Restore; No dialog ]

      Enter Preview Mode

      Thanks in advance

          Perhaps there is a script trigger associated with the "Print Estimate with Logo" layout?

          OnLayoutEnter
          OnRecordLoad
          OnObjectEnter (if on the first field in the layout's tab order)

          Might all be tripped by your script.

          Also check your current layout for an OnLayoutExit trigger.

          If you are using Filemaker Advanced, enable the script debugger and run your script. If it's tripping a script trigger, you'll see the script pop up in your debugger when it is performed by the trigger. If you do not have advanced, you'll need to go to that layout and investigate your script trigger settings.

            Brilliant! I just moved from Filemaker 6. I've got a lot to learn. Thanks.
