I need a calculation to find the most RECENT entry - not the highest or lowest value
I'm putting together a database to track a weight loss challenge. I have fields that read "initial weight" , "week 1" , "week 2" etc, all the way up to "week 12". I want to be able to input the weights each week into a field, and then have a separate field show what their "current weight" is. Keeping in mind most people yo-yo a bit on their weights, so it won't necessarily be the lowest value. What calculation should I put in the "current weight" field for this to show up? (..in excel I used an INDEX /MATCH function).
In FileMaker, it would be easiest to set up a related table with one record for each week instead of 12 fields in one record. In an Unsorted relationship, the Last function can then return a value from the most recently created related record.
