      I need help with summarizing several boxes into one box.

      I have about 50 clients, and each of these clients has up to 6 different goals.  What I would like to do is take the goals and summarize them into one box for each of the client.  When a particular client is chosen via a pull down box, I would like to have a summary box or calculation box populate that individual goals.  Can someone please help me with this.

          What data format are your "goals"? Text? Numbers?

           

          It may make more sense to store each goal in a related table and then use a portal to display a list of all the goals for a given client in a scrolling list--which could now be any number of goals rather than be limited to just 6.

           

          If that looks good to you, look up portals in the online help for a good tutorial on how to set up and use portals.
