I suggest posting this again the the Report an Issue part of this forum. (See tab at top of this screen)
This sounds like it is a bug in FileMaker and thus needs to be brought to FileMaker Inc's attention there.
Does the document display correctly in other programs on your computer.
The problem is finding another app that will display DBF files. This one supposedly does, if you use windows.
If so, you have the correct font installed. If not, you may need to install or activate it.
Or it could be a bug.
I'm on OSX Lion, but I also tried it under Windows 7. Ms Access and DBF Viewer. Both give me the same unsatisfactory result.
I've been doing some more reading and it looks like the original is either: cp1251 or cp866.
Is there a way to set this somewhere? I sometimes have the same with subtitles or track titles. Changing the encoding from standard to some cyrillic does the trick. Does anybody know how to set this?
@PhilModjunk: Since I have the same problems in different OS's and programs, seems to me not a FM specific issue
@Davidanders: I think it is not so much the right font as wel to tell the program to use a certain encoding...
Any further thought?
