Import from Oracle DB

Title

Import from Oracle DB

Post

          Happy Friday FM Peeps!

          I'm looking for alternative ways to import data from Oracle. My current method works but my query is a bit limited and the import is slow. That may have something to do with the way I have things setup as well as the way the DB views are setup. The team that owns the Oracle DB is not to happy about having to provide me with access either.

          My setup...

          FMS13

          FMP13A

          FMP13

          Oracle 11g

          My script is 7 lines of the Import Records script step. The query I am using is...

          SELECT * FROM EPORTAL_ADM.FORT_SR WHERE EP_UPDATE_DATE >= sysdate - 7

          The only thing that changes in the query is the table it is pointing too. The import updates matching records and pulls new records.

          I'd like to update it so that it checks the EP_UPDATE_DATE and if they are different then pull the requested fields. Is that possible? What other options do I have for pulling data from Oracle?
