Importing accounts and privilege sets
Is there any way to import account & privilege sets info from another file?
No. It'd be a useful feature, but it's not an option.
Why do you want to do this? You may be just out of luck or their may be a way to use scripts to accomplish what you need here.
I am writing a script to create a "same" user account in multi-file solution, but I found out that you can not create a "Full Access" account via script?
So I thought of importing them.... now is ther a way to create a full access account via script?
Haven't tried that, but don't see why you couldn't. Are you sure it wasn't a case of a non full access user not being able to run the script? That may require using the "run with full access privileges option" for each of the scripts involved.
Thanks for your post. I tried looking into "run with full access privileges" option. Where do I find that config?
It's a checkbox at the bottom of the script editor.
I must admit to some curiosity here. Why do you need additional "full access" acounts here? I've never needed more than one full access account for any file as my users shouldn't be using such an account (too easy for them to make a mistake and alter the database design unintentionally.)
Phil, I think you are right. I will keep just one "full access" account and just add a regular account with scripts.
Now, I am having an issue adding because for some reason, the script is not adding the user. The variables are being passed correctly via script parameter and I checked it by opening up a custom dialog with one of the variables passed, but when the script get to the line to add account, it does not do anything. I am assuming it has something to do with it's privilege. I can't seem to find an option to run the script with full privilege..
I found the little checkbox under the edit script window
