Title

Importing from an Excel table

Post

I'm new to importing records from Excel, and I need some help with fiddling with the settings.

Firstly, I have an Excel workbook, with one sheet that has an excel table named SpeciesData, for the range A3:CY651.  The top two rows I use for headings (really, the top row is to group columns together, with the actual headings in row 2).  When I try to import the data into FileMaker (my intention is to make it a recurring import), the named range option is disabled, and it's interpreting my table as the range A1:CY651 (or, if I turn off the "import first row" option, A2:CY651) rather than the range I want.

What should I do to fix this?
