Guess I have to give this question a "bump before my Trial period expires. The background images on my reports/forms are important to me, as I print them out. Not sure why I have to suffer a major degradation in image quality when bringing in my old FM10 database into FM12. Anyone got a way to avoid this? These images are embedded in the database.
I just saw a similar post in Report an Issue. TSGal advised opening Manage | Containers and disabling thumbnails.
Phil, thanks for responding (and quickly!) to my question.
I tried the suggested work-around both with an already converted database, and before converting the database, but I'm still getting background images on my forms/reports that are severely degraded by further lossy compression.
I discovered that my background image is actually sourced from a PDF file. If I add that PDF freshly to a FM12 layout, it looks just fine.
So my new questions is how do I tell FM12 to change the source of an existing PDF image used as the background on a layout. If don't see any option in the inspector to designate the source of an image that already exists on the layout. Thanks!
