You can have an image of your signature and insert it as a graphic image in a container field.
thanks Mark, i have the image, but i dont know how to link it in a container field. Where i can find this explanation to link an image in a container field? I´m not familiar with container fields
Eduardo, First you need to create a container field in your table for the signature. Then you can place the container field on your layout using the "draw field" tool to get it to the size and position you want.
Once the container is on your layout, you can select the field and right click it then choose the insert picture option. Or you could create a button that inserts the image. I'm working on a file now where I want technicians to sign forms when the complete testing. The "sign" button asks them for their password, then inserts the appropriate signature.
Mark, thanks again.
Im using a dinamic text on the layout, that i use to print letters for each customer of my database. Like this
I create a layout named "Customers_Notifications", when i edit this layout
I use a dynamic text <<property_description>> (this field has different text for each customer)
<<hand_signature>> Here i want to use my hand signature file(picture)
Is it possible to insert this signature in the text using container Mark?
You would use an actual container field for your signature rather than the merge fields or dynamic text like you are using for your text fields.
I have done this just inserting the signature as a picture. You do not have to create any field at all, select picture from the insert menu and select your signature file. I always have a folder called images to save all the files I will include on my application.
True, if you are the only one "signing" the letters you can place the signature image directly on the layout.
I was thinking along the lines of having multiple people being able to sign the letter so that the signature could be different on different letters.
Regardless of whether it is one user or many, a field must exist into which you insert the signature picture. I use this all the time to sign contracts and cheques.
A field does not have to exist. A signature picture can be pasted to the layout like any picture can. I don't recommend that method for signatures, I would use a container field, but it is not required.
