In FileMaker, we use Container Fields for this. You can use Insert File in the Insert menu to insert either a physical copy of the file or you can use a Store by Reference option to store a reference to the file. If you use store by reference, you can then open the file by double clicking the container field. If you do not use store by reference, you can use export field contents to open the file.

Yes, FileMaker is much more complex than Bento.
You can define a container field in Manage | Database | Fields
If the new field isn't automatically added to your layout, you can enter layout mode and use the field tool to add it.
Once it's on your layout, you can insert a file into it.
