In the invoices table:
"(" & Substitute ( List ( LineItems::ItemNameField ) ; ¶ ; ", " ) & ")"
Will return the (Pencil, Pen, Paper) portion of your text.
Hi, Phil! Thanks for helping me again!
This worked like a magic!
What if I make it little bit more complicated:
To add additional attribute (feature) to this report display, like a color for instance:
PENCIL - BLUE - PCS - PRICE - TOTAL
PEN - RED - PCS - PRICE - TOTAL
PAPER - GREEN - PCS - PRICE - TOTAL
To make it show in my report like: PENCIL-BLUE, PEN-RED, PAPER-GREEN?
Thanks so much again
Will it work if I'll merge ITEM & COLOR it one field and them make substitute of it? I don't think so ;(
If you want to see:
(Red Pencil, Blue Pen, Green Paper)
define a calculation in line items as Color & " " & Item
and put that field in the List function in place of ItemNameField.
Oh, yeah! It really works. I first did it wrong way. I made calculation field in may, let say, main table, but when I did it in my "portal" table - it worked perfectly. Thank you so much!
