Not unless mouse-over is a feature of FM12.
But you can show a tool-tip with mouse-over.
Thanks for the reply. What is a tool-tip?
Not sure what version it started - certainly is available in FM11.
Enter layout mode, click on the object, go to the Inspector Palette, click on the Appearance Tab and under Object you'll see 'Tooltip'. You can enter any text or calculated text in there. When you mouse-over the object text will display in a yellow highlighted box, for about 10 seconds.
This is a clever feature and very helpful. Thanks for that Sorsbuster!
Shame you can't highlight buttons though - that would be a nifty thing to be able to do.
It's possible to get a change in fill color if you Hover the mouse over a button when you use FileMaker 12.
That is a shame it's not included with FM 11 - Still, good to know for future upgrades.
Cheers for that.
PhilModJunk: Not only can you change the fill color when you hover over a but, pretty much all the attributes can be OFF with no hover and ON when the mouse hovers over the button.
As I have started to rebuild my solution from the ground up using FM 12, I am finding some very nice/cool ways to HIDE a button completely unless you hover over it.
I like it a lot!
