Is it possible to offer a NON GUEST user of an IWP hosted FMP10 file the option to edit their password while accessing their records in a browser? If it is, an example would be helpful. Thanks.

NOTE: I have selected the "Change Password" requirement in the Other Privileges section of the Accounts & Privileges dialog box and indicated that the password must be changed every 180 days. Just don't know how to make this work while the database is hosted online.

          Thank you for your post.

Create two text fields, "g_OLD" and "g_NEW", and set them for global storage.

There is a script step that allows you to change the password, and you can reference these fields.  For example:

          Change Password [ Old password: g_OLD ; New Password: g_NEW ; No dialog ]

If the old password is incorrect, FileMaker Pro will return error 213.  If error capture is not turned on, you will get a dialog box.  If everything works properly, error 0 (zero) is returned.  Therefore, you should turn on error capture, and then evaluate for Get (LastError) > 0.  A simplistic script would be:

Set Error Capture [ On ]

          Change Password [ Old password: g_OLD ; New Password: g_NEW ; No dialog ]

          If [ Get ( LastError ) = 0 ]
             Exit Script
          End If
.... continue with the error handling

Let me know if you need clarification for any of the above steps.
