Keeping a FileMaker solution open at all times
I need to find out the best way of keeping a FileMaker solution open on a Windows machine. I have a single file that gets data from a hosted FileMaker file and then writes data to and from an Access DB based on script settings. I have a launch file on the desktop that launches the Updater file, but I need to find the best way of preventing this file from closing and also to automatically open on Startup?
What would close the file once you have opened it?
Is the computer set to hibernate when Idle? Are you getting disconnected from the host? Or?
There is a spot in the windows OS that you can specify what apps to launch when the computer is started up. Haven't used it or looked for it in quite a while, but it's there to set up if you look for it.
