Keeping the same found set when switching to a different form
Hi, can anyone tell me how you can do a search in one form to obtain a found set, then switch to another form which will still display the same found set?
If source and target are:
1) Same table occurrence - issue a regular Go To Layout [that layout ]
2) Table occurrences are different but same base table (example you are on layout based upon Customer~Active and want to maintain the same found set and go to Customers) - Issue Go To Related Records [ Match Found Set ; Customers~Active ; using layout based upon Customers).
3) The tables are different (you are on Invoices and want to go to those Customers) - Issue a Go To Related Records [ Match Found Set ; Customers; using layout based upon Customers).
Script for 2 and 3 would be same; something like:
Set Error Capture [ On ]
Go To Related Record [ Match Found Set ; new layout ; based upon table occurrence ]
If [ Get ( LastError ) = 401 ]
Show Custom Dialog [ OK ; "No records found" ]
