I have not used it for years to be honest, but once added to the file, im sure it remains for the life of the file.
Instead of using [Read-Only Access] try making your own privelage set to match the settings.
Then use your own one as the basis of any read only accounts.
There seem to be 2 ways to remove the kiosk mode from your file, at least in FileMaker Pro 12 Advanced:
- You can remove the kiosk mode setting from your database by saving a copy as a clone.
- You can create a runtime solution without specifying the kiosk mode option (see http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/64013-disabling-kiosk-mode/)
