    Layout graphic methods

      Layout graphic methods

In the past I have painstakingly duplicated intricate paper forms using FMPs limiited drawing tools.  Why not just scan the paper form, paste it on a blank layout, and add my fields?  Does this make the database huge?  Is there a good way to import vector graphics into layouts and then be able to edit the individual graphic elements?

I know what you mean. However, I have "selected all" on a pdf, then copied and pasted into a blank layout. Fields can then be added pretty much wherever you like. Sometimes it's necessary to copy a pdf part by part, depending on your Layout Parts, but this can work, at least on Mac OS X. Your idea of scanning could work as well. I would "scan to pdf".
