      Layout not resizing

      Post

While working on a new layout I attempted to resize a part but am stymied on getting a graphic field to release the unused space.  I have verified all surrounding fields as set to 'slide up' and all have the 'reduce the size of the enclosing part' checked, but this graphic field just won't let go, I have turned the conditional formatting on so I can see the actual field (using IsEmpty so I confirm the field is actually blank, and see the outline of the field to verify it is the ONLY field not releasing space).  If I remove or turn off printing of that field the layout works as expected.  I have tried all conceivable combinations of settings without postive results.

Anyone else have a situation where they are sliding up an empty graphics field ?

          Thank you for your post.

Pull down the View menu and select "Layout Mode".  Click once on the container field, and pull down the Format menu and select "Graphic".  Make sure the second alignment is set for "Top".  Otherwise, it won't slide up.
