Layout size/window size vs. scroll bar preference in Mac OS X

Title

Layout size/window size vs. scroll bar preference in Mac OS X

Post

Earlier I posted about a bizarre window size situation. Well, I finally figured out what is causing it. It is the scroll bar viewing preferences set in System Preferences on Mac OS X. If a user chooses to always see the scroll bars, a white bar shows up on the right side of the window regardless of whether scrolling is needed. This chops off a portion of the layout. This is very frustrating to me because I like my database to look the same for all my users. In this case, I cannot set the size of the window and have it look the same for everyone unless I leave some blank space on the right hand side or have things anchor to the right, which I don't always want to do.

Any idea if there is a work around for this? Or possible fix in the future?

     Thanks!
