"left all records"?
Can you describe what you mean in more detail? We can't see your database so can only respond based on what you describe in your post and you haven't told us much to go on.
The arrangement is simple (please apologize when my English notations of FM elements are not fully correct)
- one register has a portal with a relational table. The portal has a smart filter to display only desired records
- a second register has also a portal where also some fields of records of the first register ar displayed, among other of another table
Problem: when the user leaves the portal in the first layout open (he did not press enter or clicked an empty space) he cannot modify records in the second register.
Solution wanted: when the user does not close the portal himself this should be done with a script or a trigger or what ever else,
A) A trigger on the tab of a register. But this has not the effect of entering an obbject.
B) an overlay button on the tab of the register, which would issue a script with the "commit" command. Does not work because the tab command is first executed
