First, don't allow users to open the file directly. This may result in damage your file so that it cannot be used. You should install a copy of filemaker on the server and use it to open the file. Others should then connect to the database by using open remote...
Each user needs direct access to the shared image. They need to have the directory or drive of the server mounted on their computer. It needs to be mounted in exactly the same way and the file path of the image inserted in the container needs to exactly match the filepath from the user's desktop to the actual file via the mounted volume.
thanks a lot for the answer!
I followed your indications about opening the file. Users can access the volume where the images are placed but I still have the same problem.
I also tried with the images folders copied in the user's computer, same path: disks and folders exactly the same names. No result at all.
The funny thing is that previously under Mac OS 9 I hadn't any problem at all, it seems that the switching to Mac OS X had "broken" something :-(((
Thanks in advance for any help!
