      Is there a way to format the data within the use of LIST() Function?

            Text formatting.

            Example:

            Current:

            2/8/2010

                              Test

            Test

            Test

            How we would love to see data:

            2/8/2010     Test

                                 Test

                                 Test

              I dont know why one would want that but it could be done although its not exactly the simplest.

              Use a calc as such:

              Let ( [ tab = "    ";  // In FMP11 instead of pasting the tab character withing quotes, you can use Char ( 9 )
                      itemlist = List ( YourChildField );  // Your field with list of 2/8/2010, Test, Test, Test
                      itemcount = ValueCount ( itemlist )
                    ];
                       Substitute ( LeftValues ( itemlist; 2 ); ¶; tab ) &   // first line
                       Substitute ( ¶ & RightValues ( itemlist; itemcount -2 ); ¶;  ¶ & tab & tab )  // rest of it
                  )

              Now in layout mode select your calc field. Choose the text formatting options --> choose paragraph --> Tabs

              Set two tabs. One for 20 px and the second for llike 120 px.

                If you were to post an explanation of why you want this, we might be able to suggest a simpler approach than formatting a list in this way.
