Loading a $variable in Webviewer
Trying to set a variable then have that variable load in a webviewer.. The $variable is a full webaddress.
example: http://www.google.com or https://www.secure.com
Place the variable as the web address in the webviewer, then when you set the variable the webviewer will display the web address. A webviewer is not a browse so not all web address will work in a webviewer.
Im puttting the $variable name into the Webviewer but it is still not loading... When a place the variable by putting the web address into the Webviewer directly it works.. not sure if Im passing the variable right...
I set the variable name $RaconID so that when a click on the portal record it takes the $RaconID then a go to object name of the Webviewer... then in the Webviewer I make a custom address "$RaconID"
example web addresses: http://www.google.com
I recommend using a field, because it is stored and would be more reliable. Here is a sample using a variable and a field https://www.dropbox.com/s/sf82h851bfgzzt4/webviewerSample.fmp12?dl=0
I don't know if I had the right sample linked above, I have updated the file, just incase you download a unrelated sample database. Also my sample may contain more than one sample because I answer a few question online and I reuse my samples databases.
You might try a global variable instead of a script level variable: $$RaconID instead of $RaconID.
You might then include Refresh Object to refresh to web viewer if needed.
Got it to load as a $url..... but when I load the $url into a portal.. with the same script attached it will not load into the Viewer.. even with the refresh Window options... See two Attachments...
(PS: ...Sidebar...... are they working on making it so you can load more than one pic at a time)
2 pic.... Script
I would used the field from the portal in the webviewer instead of a variable.
I'm not sure what you are talking about....working on make it so you can load more than one picture at a time ?
but each row of the portal contains a different weblink.. that I would like to be able to click on the portal row and have that link load in the viewer
You need to use a global field or a global variable. I modified the sample databases. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sf82h851bfgzzt4/webviewerSample.fmp12?dl=0
