Proving some additional information will be useful. Is the database on a local computer? If so, is it a Mac or PC?
If it's a local computer, try searching for "*.fp7" files. That's a good starting point.
the databse I have no idea which computer it is on we have 15 computers and all of them have a small alias on them. their is somewhere between 10,000 records
all computers access them except I have no idea where the master databse is located is there a way , also you asked if mac or pc, mac
thank you for your help
Thank you for your post.
Since you are on a Mac, click once on the alias to highlight it. Do not double-click, as this will open the file. If you accidentally do this, just quit and click once on the alias.
Pull down the File menu and select "Get Info".
Information about the alias will now display. Under General, look for "Original". This tells you where the file is located. Hopefully, there is enough information there to determine who's machine.
Let me know if you run into any difficulties.
Thank you will try tomorrow
