      lookup problems with repetition fields

      Post

I created 5 tables in one database.

I created a relationship between two of them. student record and course record

I created a lookup for a repetition filed. when i type in the course # in first row the name and level will show up.

but if i Type in course #  on the second line noting will show up in name and level.

where did i make the mistake?

The mistake was to use repeating fields. This won't work, as you've discovered. While you could use a set of individual fields, it will be a much better database design that will work much more flexibly for you if you replace your repeating fields with a table of related records. The layout shown can easily be updated to use a portal in place of your three columns of repeating fields.
