               Assuming the the field does not have global storage specified...

               Set Variable [$Value ; value: Layout1TableOccurrence::Field ]
               Go to Layout ["Layout2" (Layout2Table) ]
               New Record/Request
               Set Field [Layout2Table::Field ; $Value ]

               This assumes that there is no relationship linking Layout1Table to Layout2Table. In some cases, a relationship can be set up such that a single set field step from the first layout can create a new record in the second layout without changing layouts.
