Making a Runtime Solution from FM9.x that works in Panther OS 10.3
I recently upgraded to FileMakerPro Advanced 9 and was looking forward to making runtime solutions to use at work. I have Leopard at home, but my work computer is on Panther (OS 10.3).
When I try to launch the runtime created from v9 on a Mac running 10.3, it fails. I can create a runtime from FileMaker 6 that works on Panther, but unfortunately I have databases created in FileMaker 7 and now FM9 that FMv6 can't open/create a runtime.
Am I doing something wrong in FileMaker 9 when creating a runtime? It works fine on my OS 10.5 Mac, but does not work on a Mac running 10.3.
Thank you for your post.
Under our technical specifications for FileMaker Pro 9...
.... you will see that the minimum Mac OS needed is 10.4.8. That is the reason why it will not run on your computer running Leopard.
