Are the Calories Field and the Ingredient Factor the same type (number)? Do they rely on fields that are calculations of the same type?
Is Calories_Serving same type? Are any of the calculations unstored? Are any of the fields involved global, or indexing off?
I suggest posting the exactly calculation expression--something that you can copy and paste from FileMaker to here so we can see the actual expression used.
And such calculations can be defined as an auto-entered calculation in a number field or it can be a field of type calculation. Which did you use?
Sorry. I need to check my notifications of comments. All the numbers are manually entered as a Number field. The ingredient database is separate from the Recipe card database. What I'm trying to accomplish is a total number for a built recipe. Say, Meatball Sub contains xx amount of Calories per completed sandwich. And, continuing down to Fat, Sodium, etc.
I still suggest posting the exact calculation expression. There can be details and issues with the syntax of your expression and the table occurrence context specified for it that affect the results that you will see on the screen.
