Manage External Data Sources and missing System DSN (FM Pro 12)

Post

I have been unable to link a SQL Server db to FileMaker using the Manage External Data Sources. Below are the steps I take:

1. File

2. Manage

3. External Data Sources

4. New

5. Type: ODBC

6. Specify

When I click Specify, there are no data sources listed.

I am running Windows 7 and when I check the ODBC Data Source Administrator, the SQL Server driver is listed as a System DSN.

What's interesting is that I am able to import a record using an ODBC Data Source.

1. File

2. Import Records

3. ODBC Data Source

At this point I am able to select any of my User DSN.

4. SQL Server driver

5. Continue

6. Enter my SQL server login info

7. My tables and other objects are available for me to select in forming an SQL query statement.

Is there something further I must do to have my SQL Server database appear in the Manage External Data Sources section?
