      Migrate MySQL to FileMaker Pro

      Post

Evaluating FMP 13 and am very new to the FMP product.

I have an application using PHP and MySQL that I would like to migrate/convert to FileMaker Pro.

Is there a way to copy the database schema and data from MySQL to FMP?

      Help appreciated.

      Regards,

Data yes, Schema no. You should be able to export the data from your tables into any number of different text file formats, excel or even as XML. Then the data from such a file can be imported into FileMaker--creating a new table in the process.

But that only gets you so far. The way that you specify schema in FileMaker is just too different form that of a typical SQL based system.
