I would have 3 tables (driver, batch, receipt amounts) and then sum across related records.

Is there a way that I can pick up only once the driver name (from drivers table), batch number (from batch table), and then keep entering all the receipts from a particular driver.
I have created three tables, joined them, but for every single record I have to select driver name and batch number. Because each driver turns in at least 40-50 receipts and there are a lots of driver, I am looking for an advice to be able to select driver and batch only once and then keep entering all the receipts for a driver.
You need to make a portal of related records using the joined relationship. In fact you will need to make a hierarchy of portals
So your first layout would be for driver. On this layout there would be a portal for batch - so each row in the portal gives the total of all the receipts in the batch for that driver. Somewhere in the portal row, there would be a button taking you to the related record on another layout based on batch. This would contain your second portal which would be the receipts for that driver on that batch. thanks
