multiple entries for the same field
Create new records.
Hello Rick thansk for answer, but NO the idea is that all the other info is the same and should be within the same record.
You could create additional fields for different quantity amounts. LocationAqty, LocationBqty, LocationCqty.
What other data are the same? From what you've described, one item field and one quantity field. Setting up fields for Quantity1, Quantity2 etc is poor design as you never know when you're going to need another field. Using seperate records with just two fields does not prevent you from using functions to sum or summarize your data.
To expand on the point that Rick has made:
This sounds like a standard sales invoice where you would have one record for the sales transaction, the Invoice record and a list of related records one for each item purchased on that sales invoice. A portal to the line items table then allows you to list as many items and their quantities, prices etc for that one sales invoice as you need.
The Invoices starter solutions that come with FileMaker 11 and 12 are examples of that approach.
