Multiple Tables in Same Report
I'm working on a database solution for live event lighting paperwork. I'm trying to create reports that will reference data on two different tables,
Table 1) Lighting fixture data (things like type, size, color, etc)
Table 2) Production Information (Producer, Venue, Designer, etc)
I'd like to create a report that would pull data from Table 2 for the header so that each time the file is used on a new show, I could just update the information once and it would then be updated across all the different reports that are generated. Then in the body of the reports would be information pulled from the main fixture database.
My research so far has led me to believe that I need to create a relationship between the two tables, but I'm at a loss as to what to actually relate since they are different sets of information completely. Is there a different way to go about this?
