Give us some examples of what you've tried that didn't work for you and we'll see what we can do to help you out.
This is something that you should be able to do, but the details can trip you up the first time you try to do it.
Trouble trying to figure out the correct search criteria for records that exist by shift. Example: I need to find data that is between 5-1-2009 18:00:00 to 5-2-2009 06:00:00. The two fields that are available are a Date Field and a Time Field. I have tried date ranges with time ranges but for some reason I must not be entering the search criteria correctly. Thanks
create a calculated field, result TimeStamp and calc:
yourDateField & " " & youtTimeField
than do the search using that field ( insering a range like: 5-1-2009 18:00:00...5-2-2009 06:00:00 )
Date Field : 5-1-2009...5-2-2009 and in the Time Field : 18:00:00...06:00:00
Date Field : 5-1-2009...5-2-2009 and in the Time Field : >18:00:00
Date Field : 5-1-2009...5-2-2009 and in the TIme Field : >18:00:00...<06:00:00
make two find requests:
Put 5-1-2009 in the date field
Put > 18:00:00 in the time field
Select Add New Request from the request menu.
Put 5-2-2009 in the date field
Put < 06:00:00 in the time field.
Click Perform Find to find all records that were made on 5/1/2009 after 6:00 pm OR were made on 5/2/2009 before 6:00:00 am.
I had to wait till early morning to update the database and added the timestamp. It works! :) Thankyou
