right-click the file icon and double check its properties... has it read-only access ?
Are you attempting to open the file while it is still on the CD? You'll need to move it to your hard drive first.
Is it in a compressed (zip) folder? You'll need to decompress it first.
Yes, it is read only which makes sense why I can't modify. Is there any way to change that ??
I saved it to desk top like the next reply suggested and the data box is still not able to be modified.
I don't believe it is in a zip folder...
Thanks for your replies, hope you can give me some more ideas !!
When you follow Daniele's (Raybaudi) instructions. You should see that the read only property is a check box. Simply clear the check box and the file will no longer be read only.
After I saved to desktop the read only was gone, but it still wouldn't work, so I saved from disk to
C: drive, then opened new file in FMP & used the data from C drive and it now lets me modify the
data !!! I am so relieved as we have ALOT of customer info.
THANK YOU TO YOU AND DANIELLE FROM ITALY !
