Am I correct that you want all personnel records assigned to a specific project where the removed date field is empty?
a portal filter patterned after this expression could omit all records where there is a date in the removed date field:
Not IsEmpty ( PortalTable::RemovedDate )
You'll need to replace "portalTable::RemovedDate" with the correct reference to the portal table and removed date field.
And from the table names and your description, this might be a many to many relationship between personnel and projects with a join table holding the removed date. If that's the case and you still can't get this to work, let me know and post a description of your tables and relationships so that I can make more detailed response.
No the Removed Date is not empty. A project is open for a maximum of 3 years. Therefore the Removed date is automatically filled in with the 3 year expiration date.
So if I was using Excel language: If Removal Date <= Today's Date, Omit, Else, add.
Then you can use:
PortalTable::RemovalDate < Get ( CurrentDate )
This is very similar to something I had scribbled out already except it was Personnel(Table)::RemovedDate(Field)>Get(CurrentDate). This is telling it to add personnel still on the project correct?
Yes, I have the inequality reversed, so you should use your expression.
