Thank you for your post.
You can get your copy of FileMaker Pro re-activated by contacting our Customer Assistance department. If you are in North America, please call toll-free 800-325-2747. If you are outside of North American, please go to our web site (www.filemaker.com), select your country in the upper-right popup, and then contact the office nearest you.
I tried that, I explained the situation.
gave license key and everything. He said hold on a Minute. He Then said you have too many activations. Then slammed the phone down in my ear.
I had calmly explained I wanted the current activation for my PowerBook deactivated, so that I could reactivate.
Now it appears in order for me to get a working copy I'll have to purchase FileMaker 10 advanced with I really can't afford to do.
I do have a copy installed on a FW Drive which is not in use (just as a backup)
I tried deactivating and received a 10018/10040 error on my Tower Unit. I really do need FileMaker in use because I have some family tree information in fileMaker databases that I converted to PDF and the upload to my Website. <http://www.phillipmjones.net>
Got hold of another person that didn't hang up in my face.
This person was nice. He issued an override.
Although I'm happy the issue got resolved, I am very disappointed with the way you were initially treated, and it is unacceptable behavior for us. If you know the name of the person you originally contacted, please send me a private message (top of this screen - right side - X Messages) and I will forward it to my boss. I'm sure we would not like this to happen again to another customer.
