In FileMaker Pro 10, you can use the Install OnTimer Script script step. This will allow you to run a script at regular intervals, so long as the window remains open. This script can update daily values.
"...but I need to be able to update daily from the raw data..."
Is the raw data in a file or is this simply data you will type in?
If it's in a file, you can use import records to pull the data into your database.
Welcome to the forum.
We need more info...
What is the "Raw Database"? Where is the "Raw data"? I take it from context that the raw data is not entered into FMP...is it in XL? .txt? Are you looking to import from another Dbase?
Most Dbases I've built are built so that the "raw data" is entered directly into the Dbase upon collection...so it's there already...could you fill in some of the surrounding context?
Data is what?
Data is where?
How did it get there?
Data is in what form?
What version of FMP? 10?
My first guess is that you're looking for an Import function...
Thanks for getting back to me. I am running FM10 Adv. The data is on a MS SQL server and I am trying to pull reports on a daily basis. My question is how or what do I set up to have the information dumped.
Thank you, that's one issue resolved
